Travel Guide Chumphon Island Chumphon Thailand

If you look at the map, you will see that Chumphon islands are at close proximity to main land. It also has a license for bird-nest. In the past, travelers enjoyed driving along the beach, just to admire the view. These days, travelers can drive by the beach and go on to visit nearby islands for a one day trip or a stay-overnight on the island.

Like the rectangular shape-narrow and long, Chumphon possesses natural diversity including mountains, forest, mangrove and sandy beaches. The beach is lining in parallel with the Gulf of Thailand, as far as 222 kilometers. Six out of eight Amphurs (districts) of Chumphon are next to the sea, except Amphur Pha Toe and Amphur Tha Sae. Thus, Chumphon has small and large beaches lining next to each other.

Travelers can enjoy various activities including paying respect to Sadet Tia, father of Thai Navy, visiting temples, visiting caves and waterfalls, rafting at Amphur Pha Toe, or trailing in the mangrove forest. The most famous program, however, is visiting prominent beaches and islands. More than 40 islands around Chumphon offer striking underwater world, with the high rank on diversity and beauty within the Gulf of Thailand.

Travelers can plan a program as driving to Amphur Pa Thiew to visit Koh Khai, Amphur Muang to visit three islands with wonderful corals-Koh Lawa, Koh Mattra, and Koh Lang Ka Jiew, or Amphur Lang Suan for a home stay with local men at Koh Pitak for a change. Several beaches offer a boat trip to visit various islands. A simple program can compose of driving for a sea view and boarding a boat to visit islands.
